SCENIC MOUNTAIN ROAD TRIP FROM GRANADA THROUGH RONDA TO SEVILLA
This is one of our favorite routes, visiting the city of Ronda in the Mountains north of Málaga. Here, we learn about the different historical periods of the Iberian Peninsula, specifically in regards to Muslim Spain. Our tour takes us through the streets and alleyways of the old medina, with various stops, expositions, secret tunnels and the Hammam of Ronda.
This route is most easily taken by road, and ideally with a local travel guide. The route is possible to do by train with a couple of change overs, but in this case it would be suitable to spend a night or more in Ronda, to enjoy it further, since train combination may not provide an ideal timing for just one day out.
From Ronda, by road, we could turn down towards the coast within Malaga province, however we advise to visit Seville first, and from there there are a high speed train connections down to Malaga city, as well as Madrid, Barcelona. We also frequently continue by road to Lisbon, after Seville.
